Here is something TPC vice president Andrew Hayes put together to help members get access to the members-only newsgroups using Outlook Express..

For those of you who are using the mailing list or web site to read these messages, have Outlook Express, but don't know how to set it up:

 1. From the main menu bar, select Tools, then select Accounts...

 2. On the Internet Accounts dialog, click on the Add button, then select the News... item. This will start the Internet Connection Wizard, tailored for News.

 3. The first screen asks for your display name. This is the name that shows up in the From column of the message list. Please use your real name as it gets very confusing otherwise. Click Next.

4. You are then asked for your e-mail address. This address is also placed in the From column, but hidden. Outlook Express will use this address if you reply to the Poster and not to the Group.

Click Next.

5. Now you have to enter the News (NNTP) Server name. In this case it will be: news.tokyopc.org (NOTE: If you wish to access the tpc.clubbiz newsgroup, you will need to request a userid and password from one of the Executive Officers. This information is then entered on the News Server screen as the log on.)

6. Here is where you will enter those two.

7. Click Next. Then click Finish.

8. The first time you log on you should be offered to see a list of groups to which you can subscribe. Hopefully you will see them all, including tpc.clubbiz. From then on in you should see something like this:

Good luck.
